Technical Project Systems Engineer

Job Description

Cisco seeks a Technical Project Systems Engineer to work within the APJ&C Customer Proof of Concept (CPOC) organization.

The candidate would be located at Cisco CPOC in Bangalore, India.

This role will have responsibility for daily engagement with Cisco APJ field sales organization and customers.

Plan, design, build and conduct structured proof-of-concept tests to assist with the successful conclusion of sales across all Cisco architectures, in conjunction with the APJ CPOC team.

Deliver customer presentations and execute test plans in person and leveraging CPOC virtual capabilities.

Translate, transfer and disseminate acquired solution, product and technology knowledge to both internal and external customers through the creation of white papers, presentations, or other publications.

Provide technical consulting support to all global CPOC locations.

Technical expertise in all or some of the following is required :

An in-depth practical understanding of Cisco Enterprise and Security solutions.

Experience with enterprise routing and switching platforms, IOS and IOS-XE, and related Network Management (Prime Infrastructure, APIC EM, etc) a must.

A working and demonstrable knowledge of relevant programming languages (eg. Python, Java) highly desirable.

Working knowledge of different Operating Systems, and Virtualisation technologies (VMWare/Openstack)

Experience with network traffic generation and test tools (Spirent test Centre, IXIA, Agilent N2X) and associated practices for simulation and testing of large scale networks.


Experience and capabilities of ideal candidate :

BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline.

CCNP or equivalent industry certification. CCIE highly desirable.

Relevant experience in a hands on technical role in the service provider industry.

Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation organizational and project management skills.

The ability to develop and maintain high quality test plans and test results documents.

Success in this role involves maintaining current awareness of competitive offerings and being able to effectively articulate Cisco's differentiating features and benefits.

Ability to work independently - add value as a team member of the CPOC family and wider sales community.
